Can't wait till Tarantino's new movie (Inglorious Basterds), supposed to be his masterpiece or whatever, it's been a while.

But the movie I'm really looking forward to this year is Public Enemies with Johnny Depp & Christian Bale. The director is the same guy who directed Heat, so expect the new Pacino vs De Niro :eyebrows:

I'm not sure about Mann. I saw Miami Vice. Heat is a bit overrated.

I'm not sure about it at all. He's remaking a 90 minute film as two long films. It's a vanity project. Grindhouse was too, and it suffered for it. This is the guy whose last attempt at a 90 minute action movie was Kill Bill. Parts I and II. Someone needs to strap him into a chair and tell him that he loses a pint of blood for every five minutes his next project is over 100 minutes. Maybe cut off his ear in a hilariously gruesome fashion just to drive the point home.

A little more about Public Enemies:

Depp plays John Dillinger, Stephen Graham plays Baby-Face Nelson, and Channing Tatum plays Pretty-Boy Floyd. It's about the three notorious gangsters and the Feds that attempt to bring them down. Bill Crudup plays J. Edgar Hoover and Christian Bale is Melvin Purvis, his top agent. The cast for this film is out of this world. Marion Colilard, Giovania Ribisi, Stephen Dorf, among others, are in supporting roles.

A little background, Dillinger and his boys basically rob banks at will until Hoover decides to stop them. Could be a really good movie.
