You've never been to Texas? I grew up with that flavor, I'm sure Dru has come across it a few times as well. If you go you have to go to West Texas. My uncle used to live in Abilene. It's a whole new accent out there.

Yes but I'm not a fan of the comics so far me there's really no comparison.

As for the real hardcore fans, they can never be satisfied. Those same fans thought Keaton was a poor choice whereas for me he's the best Batman by far. What Nicholson did, in my eyes, was just right and I doubt Ledger can top it.

Read the Dark Knight series, if you haven't already. It's what the new movies are based on.

top post salman,as a kid TBh i loved the movie but its was later that i started to read the comics (actually about the only comics i ever read,was not that big on them) but i loved the darker edge to the batman series. while i take nothing away from nicholson and his portrayal of the Joker i cant help but get excited about this new film and ledgers take on him

It really depends on what you're reading because the Batman movies were based on two different series of Batman comic books. The first two movies tried to follow the Return of the Dark Knight series done by Frank Miller in 1986. The rest of the flims were loosely based on the other books in the series but were done in the corny manner of the earlier (pre-Miller) comics. The newer movies cover Legend of the Dark Knight, which basically tells the tale of Batman's origin. I think this is right. I could be wrong because there were so many series and spin offs.

Anyway, I watched Frontier(s) last night. That was a strange movie, Nazi cannibals eating travelers along the French countryside. Xavier Gens is one messed up guy. Though I don't think he's to the level of Eli Roth yet.

Thats where we totally agree..but Whats your take on Bale and Keaton?Who do you think is the better Bruce Wayne?I found Keaton to be dry TBH.He was dark,yet dry.Bale did it brillianty IMO.He had the dark side,had the insecurity and the uneasiness..plus the tinge of arrogance that Bruce Wayne should have.

it was teh Nightfall series i read (gave my cousin a loan of them and never got them back) where batman had his back broken by Bain and had to hand over the mantle to Azreal.

i also had a batman-judge dread crossover. cant remember the others as was about 15 years ago

Ja Rule's a disgrace to hip hop. I can't stand that 'cookie-monster' voice and his gayish looks. Wanna be gangster though? He grew up in Queens...he might be pretending now but he is straight from the hood.
