Not quite. But it's far from just another mafia movie. It's far more grotesk and that's exactly what it wants to be. It's a movie in the Coen universe, Martin, FFS.

And by God, there are two scenes in that movie no one can call mediocre..

It's a TV mini series six episodes long IIRC. It's about HIV/AIDS in New York in the eighties (I saw it last year, because I studied the subject). Al Pacino is Roy Cohn. Quite a different role for him.
