Saw Bowling For Columbine for the first time earlier - great film. Totally agreed on all parts of Moore's arguments that lie therein his piece.

I loved it how he made Charlton Heston, former NRA big gun (pun intended), look like the lousy piece of shit that he is at the end.

I saw Ben Hur the other day, with Charlton Heston. That movie won all kinds of awards in its time. No way I could take Heston seriously though, after seeing Bowling for Columbine. Not that he was more than just ok in the movie. But the image of this gun toting redneck was too much to suppress.

The fact that he didn't even bother to look at the girl in the end really makes him look BAD. To me, he's just another redneck who shouldn't be respected in any way.

unfortunately thats 99% of all white americans south of the mason-dixon line... present day
Probably true, unfortunately.
