Shoot 'em Up!

OMFG!! OMFG!!

This is the most mindless piece of crap ever to be filmed! For the love of me I don't know why someone would even wanna make this movie. Seriously, they must have had something juicy on both Monica Belluci and Clive Owen which they used to blackmail them into making the movie.

Possibly the worst movie ever. The only thing they got right was the name, it really is shoot em up, there aren't 2 full minutes in the whole movie without shooting.

OMFG!
you think thats bad i just sat and watched "smokin' aces" the worst of it is, this film has a great cast all doing small cameo's but the film is a total mess. should have been a laugh a minute, laugh out loud gun-fest but in reality its just a sloppy mess

Btw what is with Clive Owen popping up in all these garbage movies? Is he so starved for work? Your screenshots suggest Children of men standard production.
he can be fantastic at times, inside man was a brilliant film and his small part in the bourne identity was done excellently. though we should have seen his potentail for bad roles when he turned up in sin city in a role that was about as appropriate as michael jackson as santa

He's signed on for Sin City 2 and 3. So expect the tradition to continue. Though the Dwight roll really isn't that bad.

Tarantino movies are extremely overrated imo.
Yes but not as bad as Martin makes them out to be.
What's your favorite movie?
Cool Hand Luke, The Hustler, The Sting, Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid. He likes Paul Newman and Robert Redford very much.

Trust me, this is as bad Smokin Aces, no, it's worse. Shoot Em Up has a good cast as well; Clive Owen, Monica Bellucci, Paul Giamatti. All good actors IMO, but the movie is something Vin Diesel would avoid. Seriously.

Before this movie I rated him very highly, apart from the obvious Inside Man and Bourne Identity, he was also good in Closer and Derailed. I also liked him in Greenfingers(I'm a sucker for an occasional Drama/Comedy/Romance)

I don't have "a favorite". Just like I don't have a favorite song, or book, or whatever. I've seen a lot of good movies in various genres, but it's probably been 15 years since I stopped thinking about it in terms of "oh this one is my favorite, and now this one is my favorite", it's too much to keep track of and it serves no purpose anyway.

Cool Hand Luke, The Hustler, The Sting, Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid. He likes Paul Newman and Robert Redford very much.
Yeah, they really put me to sleep  Nah, it's just vlatko's reel of bestest movies right here, they're okay but nothing too special tbh.

What a load of rubbish and a massive dissapointment that was. I was so looking forward to seeing it but when I did, goodness me like you said it was a convoluted mess.

Haven't you noticed that the more that praise Pulp Fiction the more Martin will hate it? Personally I think popularity is the biggest reason to why Martin hates the movie.

That's because I don't hate it. I just think it has a ridiculous reputation.

The movie itself is just any old piece of junk. And if no one brought it up I wouldn't either, just like I don't talk about any number of bad movies I've seen. And it's not like it's the worst movie ever made, there are movies out there much worse than Pulp Fiction.

It's like if people suddenly started to worship at the altar of Gianluca Comotto. It's not like there aren't worse players than Comotto, and it's not like I hate him, but if people started equating him with Pele I would have to ponder whether they've lost their mind.

Pulp Fiction didnt really use 'Fuck' as often as you think. The usage was pretty regular. But In the end it all comes down to taste.People who dont like Pulp Fiction cannot be convinced into believing that the movie is a masterpiece, and people who are big fans of it cant be convinced into believing that its poor.Art is a pretty subjective matter IMO,wether its music, painting, theatre or movies.Calling it Junk doesnt necessarily make it Junk.It all comes down to your personal opinion of it.

Very true, and if it were just a couple of people infatuated with it then there would be no reason to say anything.

Just like vlatko's weird obsession with Paul Newman.

But when it spreads to a significant portion of movie watchers you gotta start wondering what kind of values people have.
