I just watched Once upon a time in Hollywood and I thought it was pretty good. Not the most amazing film but still good The only downside was the lack of direction of the plot at first but I think that was intended. We basically follow the lives and lifestyle in Hollywood at the time. If you expect a Hateful Eight, Django or something you might be disappointed, but this movie is more for the late 60s retro vibe, visuals and setting of back then + the real life story that happened then (which was a bit modified). Pretty nice feel to the film.
The key to watching, and enjoying the movie is not to think of it as it being about the Manson Family murders, but Hollywood during the time that it takes place.

People accustomed to modern films are the ones that won't like it. There is something Pulp fictionesque about it in the sense that there is no clear direction

Pulp Fiction specifically aimed to be entertaining, this one is different. It's like a huge shout-out to those that lived the 60s and/or knows parts of the story about Sharon Tate.
