Because the music was great? Such things that we've seen from this movie can't seriously be hailed so high. Film-wise it's what counts, what the movie itself offers. Screw visual and fuck whole 3D thing, I wish it was never created.

No, not the score - even if it has some nice moments. The use of sound makes it intense as hell. How it goes from silence and to being really intense and so on. Yes, 3D rarely works, but some films just work better in the cinema. If you try going to one, you'll find out eventually. ;)

Eh... If this movie was the best one of the year you really have to be disappointed. Seriously, any movie that's based on stunning visual effect and that has a shit story line is just plain stupid IMO. I don't regret watching it, but it was a disappointment. I don't think 3D effect would change that opinion by much because (unlike Avatar for example) this movie shows absolutely nothing.

Unfortunately, Gravity is a film you see in 3D or not at all.

It has a B movie plot thats for sure. But it works well.
