It definitely has a lot of qualities, but I remember it as messy with too many subplots that should have been more detailed. However, I haven't watched it since it came out 4 years ago.
I think it makes a lot more sense if you know the prior material. I didn't and still don't. In that respect it's more of a fan/cult piece that is hard to judge on its own.

Ben Affleck is not a great actor, but he's good within his limits. He's a much better director and his performances in his own movies are good. He seems to be aware of his own limitations as an actor there. The problem with the Batman vs Superman movie is not Ben Affleck, but the fact that Zack Snyder, a director who makes one flop after the other, is supposed to direct the movie. Actually, scratch that. It's great since I hope this overload of boring superhero movies stops soon.
Superheroe movies will stop when Chinamen cease to purchase movie tickets.

Elysium!!! absolute must watch! I loved Neil Blomkamp's directing and also Sharlto Copley stole the movie!
I loved his character. Kept wanting to shout Vickers!

He was the main good thing about it, I wouldn't say it's must watch, it started out promising in first half, them became a cliché, except for Shalto.
