Usually can't stand him. Something I was reminded of again recently when watching "The Flock" (crap movie, what a surprise). There are bound to be some good movies of his though, but I don't see one where he's starring opposite a dog being one of them.

The monologue at the cafe is the peak of that movie. Also it's filled with hilarious one liners.

I agree, Richard Gere is very meh and his choice of role is even worse. I watched Red Corner the other day. Couldn't believe how bad it was.
