how does it compare to original?
I think both are good films.

I didn't compare the two (in my review) because I don't consider them the same thing. Working with different budgets, different actors, playing to different audiences. Rapace and Rooney are both extremely impressive in their portrayals of Salander. I think Daniel Craig was a better Blomkqvuist. Skarsgaard is the better Martin Vanger. It's really the difference between a big film and a small film.

Both were well done, but I enjoyed Fincher's version more and it probably is the better film. Pretty similar to how I felt about the Let the Right One In films.

All I can say is go see it.

You pretentious fuck :D
Whats pretentious about Tony Leung? One of my select few fav actors, extra interested to see his movies because they arent western ones I'm used to, plus consistently chooses intriguing roles, mainly with Wong Kar wai, which makes it even more appealing.

No I havent, but want to see it, generally lag behind discovering or finding his movies (havent seen much of his movies this year at all), because chinese/Hong Kong movies are far from as accessible.
Yeah I haven't been able to dig up a decent download link either.

It's nice to see Guy Ritchie making solid films after the trash that Revolver and Rock-n-rolla were.
Rock-n-rolla wasnt trash, though just decent, dissapointing compared to his previous work he was trying to recreate. What saved that movie from being trash is the Johhny Quid character, and the russian assassins lol. But Revolver was utterly pretentious botch job, only worth watching of that mess of a movie was Mark Strongs assassin character (should have his own movie, but then again I'm a Mark Strong fanboy lol).
