Hard Candy

Disturbing-ass movie man. Castration? Really?
Quite good though, right? Even if it maybe isn't exactly credible. Great performance by Ellen Page as well.

Last ones I watched: Sixteen Candles - Not as great as the almost perfect "Breakfast Club", but still immensely amusing. Killer soundtrack as well. Oh, and Anthony Micheal Hall rules.

Synecdoche, New York - Takes quite a lot of effort to watch. I did like it somehow though, even if I didn't even understand half of it.

Needless to say, I needed my regular brainless B-movie fix after that. Altitude took care of it. Started somewhat amusing (shoddy fx, lame plot, less than perfect acting, ...), but ultimately failed when the lame plot actually turned into one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen. So ridiculous I didn't even think it was funny even...

Back to the more "serious stuff" after that: Despicable Me :D. Enjoyable, good number of laughs. Followed by Red. Didn't care for it. Fairly well made, I guess, but oh so bland.

King of California - Meh, mostly boring.

And last but not least: Cyrus. Good

Phew, that's my essay for today.

    Grown Ups

By far the funniest most enjoyful movie I've seen in a long long time. The jokes, the acting, everything was hilarious. Everyone watch it, highly recommended.

Maybe we were in different states of minds. I loved the in-jokes between the childhood friends.

Watched Drive lastnight and loved it probably one of the best films i've seen in a long time, i expected it to be cheesy racing type film but it is the complete oppoosite.. brilliant film that reminded me of an old Clint Eastwood movie.

Also finally got around to watching The Fighter really liked it especially Bales performance and watched The Messenger in which Woody Harrelson was class.

Drive - I liked it too. Gosling is the new Brad Pit.
The Tree of Life - I had big expectations, but was hugely disappointed.
Horrible Bosses - Fun and entertaining, comedy of the year perhaps, along with Crazy, Stupid, Love
Rise of the Planet of the Apes - Average.
