I'm yet to watch it but this is for example what I read there:

Perhaps this absurd stupidity-along with showing that the characters are rubbish Muslims, inspired not by faith, but by confusion and misappropriated cultural inertia-was a tactic to avoid retaliation from the Muslim community. If so, then perhaps it was necessary, but it came at the cost of the latter section of the film's intended poignancy for me.[/I

Basically all the characters are remarkably stupid and in the case of Nigel Linsay unbearably
annoying. Now stupid can be funny as is shown in the classic Dumb & Dumber (1994) but the stupidity shown in Four Lions is utterly unconvincing and again not funny.

I really want to watch it though but I'd go for Annie Hall first :D

Bullshit, that reviewer clearly lacks even the most basic analysis skills. The reason their
stupidity is an exaggeration because the sinister nature of islamists and the threat it poses are exaggerations in real life.

funny thing is he is apparently a hugely intelligent man,hre just talks like he is mushing a banana in his mouth that he then spits out and calls it a plot

The Stoning of Thuraya.M: I found it very well put on a disaster in well, almost every middle eastern country and that is corruption in the most powerful characters in the society. While ofcourse the law itself is very debatable.

The Soloist: Meh. too much drama for my liking.

Carlito's way.

:blah: mafia :blah: All Pacino movies are the same with minor variations. I really ought to steer clear of them from now on.
Martins vain attempts at causing controversy were largely ignored, "ah well" he thought, there will be some greasy Mafioso fanboy willing to bite any second.......
