I'm gonna have to agree with that :D

See, I really don't know what it is about The Last Kiss, but I kinda fell in love with that movie when I watched it. I realize that it's just a by the numbers romantic (chick) flick, definitely nothing special, but it just works.
May have something to do with Bilson's cuteness :D
It definitely has to do with her cuteness, especially if you've watched OC back in the day. :D The girl is simply irresistible. The movie itself had a very good, albeit a little corny, story and it was kinda of deep, not the average run-of-the-mill rom-com. It's one of the rare, genuinely touching romantic movies. The actors were also properly cast so that movie is in my top 10 chick flick list. :D

Buck, to return the favor, here are some of the top of my head, which maybe you haven't seen. I've excluded the overly popular ones. All pretty good chick flicks.

A Good Year, Dan In Real Life, Definitely Maybe, No Reservations, Someone Like You

Why do I get the feeling that we both watch more chick flicks than are good for us? At this rate, our views on romance are getting skewed, if they aren't already. :D
And all hope for me to ever be a "real man" was pretty much already lost anyway

As for your list, surprisingly I have only seen 1 of them: Definitely Maybe, which was not bad, not at all.

A Good Year & Dan in Real Life are definitely on my to watch list & I will do so soon. Same for No Reservations, but that one will probably take me a while since I kinda dislike CZ Jones.
I had to look up Someone Like You, never heard of it before. But it is something I'd watch.

Haha, solid point on view of romance, but what the heck, hope dies last. :p I like absolutely all sorts of films from real-life drama, to epic sci-fi adventure crap, but there is NOTHING that compares to a good chick flick to relax on a boring Sunday afternoon. They're easy to watch and sometimes you can actually connect to the characters and re-examine your personal life. And if there's a cute girl in it, I get all fuzzy inside. :D

Those 3 are more drama-romance oriented but with some humour mixed in between. All 3 very good movies. Someone Like You is a typical rom-com, nothing special but a nice movie(beware of the end scene, you'll know what I mean. :D )

V, that's a nice way of putting it!

I watch everything myself too. Which can be a problem sometimes, since there obviously isn't enough time, especially not if you (like me) want to watch a lot of movies multiple times.

But you're definitely right about chick flicks. There are just moments when nothing can beat watching one, depending on your state of mind.
