From wikipedia:

His (Pasolini) final work, Salò (Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom, 1975), exceeded what most viewers could then stomach in its explicit scenes of intensely sadistic violence. Based on the novel 120 Days of Sodom by the Marquis de Sade, it is considered his most controversial film. In May 2006, Time Out's Film Guide named it the Most Controversial Film of all time.

I'm never going to watch these kinds of movies
There's an episode in the Dekalog that I'd say is emotionally more brutal than anything in Salò ;)

Zwartboek. Good movie overall, but I especially liked that the nazi captain found her out right away. Made it much more interesting. The story is quite chaotic and doesn't seem to have any kind of a goal, which I think is very fitting for a war movie, a war throws all plans into disarray. Much better than so many war movies with an overlying plot.

Okay, Salo- I could have gone on watching it, but I couldn't justify it. The sickness starts almost immediately. I don't know why anyone would want to sit through the whole thing; you get the idea pretty early.

I enjoyed it but they could have done better with the ending. What i did like was that it wasn't your typical happy ending.

Up, great and very emotional journey:beer:

When in Rome, it is ordinary but Josh Duhamel is extraordinary!

I miss you. Josh Duhamel was average in that movie, if he looked like danny de vito you wouldn't be singing his praises.:p

Finally watched Once Upon a Time in America. Easily one of my favorite movies of all time, really great.

I'm perfectly fine with emotionally brutal stuff in movies. Violence is also okay. Sadism and perversion too, as I liked A Clockwork Orange a lot. As for Salo, after reading a short summary about the whole plot, I just can't go for watching it. It doesn't mean I'm taking anything away from this movie though.
