Hangover is terribly overrated. Didnt like the movie at all

SherryBaby - Decent enough movie, with mostly great performances, but I expected a bit better. In the end, I didn't really care enough about what was going on.

Norbit - What can I say? Eddie Murphy has really lost it. I was dangerously close to slitting my own wrists while watching this.

Hancock - I am a sucker for Will Smith. Enjoyable and funny at times, but could have been a lot better (if they stayed a bit more true to the initial scripts).

After Sex - Some amusing bits & good dialogues, but this movie is somewhat marred by a few lousy performances. Also gets a bit boring after a while.

The Ruins - Essentially this is just another t(w)eens in peril horror thriller, rife with cliches. This one works though, due to the mostly convinving performances & some intense, even disturbing, scenes.
Oh, and I have had it with plants.

Up was excellent - there was a defeaning silence in the cinema when I went to watch it during the sad parts

Just saw This Is It. A big MJ fan, so there's not much I can/should say except he's a musical genius and that would've been an awesome, awesome concert.

Nah, he's just caught up with making blockbuster movies only, lately. He's had magnificent performances and when I remember him from Empire Of The Sun....I know he's got that natural talent. Fantastic actor.

He's had some truly magnificent performances (American Psycho, The Machinist), but he has also shown some god awful "wooden" acting in the past (Reign of Fire, Captain Corelli's Mandolin, Terminator Salvation).
And as good or great as the new Batman movies may be (especially the 2nd), he is the worst thing in them.

So I am far from convinced for now.

He was great in Prestige as well, Harsh Times, even though a poor movie is a fine performance. He was brilliant in Shaft as well, even though it's only a supporting role.

But if you really wanna see his talent, watch Empire Of The Sun, if you haven't already. A 13 year old Bale giving a brilliant, brilliant, brilliant performance.

I haven't gotten around to watching the Prestige yet, even though I have it laying around. I will though, some day soon (and by soon I mean hopefully within the year )
Empire of the Sun is another one I have yet to cross off my list.

As for Harsh Times & Shaft: meh, I thought he was ok in those, but definitely not great.


Have you seen Rescue Dawn yet? That's another of those I have laying around but haven't seen yet. Although my expectations for that one are quite high.
