Hopefully we see this midfield tomorrow night

marchionni-poulsen-neddy-Gio

I think its very balanced with good options going forward and helping the full backs in defense( and they surely need it).

I don't think this game is useless(like Seven said this one is never useless) but I don't the team (incl. the management) getting overboard if we win it. This game is not a measure of our season, and the moment we start thinking that way is where start getting it really wrong.

I certainly didn't like how that management emphasized the importance of this game around two months ago, and I think it's one of the reasons why this game doesn't hold the same importance anymore.

Anyway lets beat the whiny bunch, finish the season and start building for the next one.

We're off topic, but that whole team was amazing. The most amazing thing is that it was full of world class players, and yet it wasn't created the way Real or Inter created their teams.
Lippi made that team out of relatively unknown players who made their name in Juve exactly.
Zidane was a newbie from the French league who, even though had a solid euro 1996, was still relatively unknown, bought for peanuts from Bordaux. Vieri was a 23 yo kid, while Montero was another unknown just bought from a small Italian team (both were bought from Atalanta). Del Piero was a 22 years old kid bought from Pescara, Iuliano was another new guy bought from Salernitana. Jugovic was already a CL winner with Crvena Zvezda and a very good player for Sampdoria, but no-one considered him a star. Boksic was bought from the French league, Di Livio was bought from serie B, Perruzzi was already in the team when Lippi came, but he wasn't a big star, Porrini came from Atalanta, Conte was a bench warmer before Lippi, and only Ferrara and Deschamps were stars even before Lippi created the new Juve.

And out of a sudden, you have the best team in the world.
That was some amazing scouting and amazing coach work.
Also we brought Davids 1 year later, from a flop in Milan to WC player in Juve. that's why Lippi is known as one of the best coach. His team selection is incredible. He knows what players he wants for the team and make the team better. I remember also in 2001, he also repair the club after Ancelotti leave us. He sold Zidane, Van Der Sar, and Inzhagi and replace him with Buffon, Nedved, and Thuram. It was incredible, there is no other club wants to buy GK for what we spent for Buffon back then, and also Thuram and Nedved already 29 years old and the price is so expensive. But it's all paid off with 2 scudetto, 1 Coppa Final, and 1 EU Final in 2 years

That's a differences with Ranieri and Secco now

Buffon

Zebina Legrottaglie Chiellini Molinaro

Nedved Poulsen Zanetti Giovinco

Del Piero Iaquinta

Alternatively throw Iago in for Zanetti and play Nedved as a CM.Iago won't play for the first team though,no matter how great he is for the Primavera.I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to return to Spain at the end of the season.

Yes I am. We travel back home tomorrow. We leave Lebanon in the afternoon and arrive home around midnight after a change in Frankfurt.

I would have been even less active had the weather been better. Such a shame! The sun is starting to appear now after three days of rain.

Seems so.Yesterday he said he is ready to play for 90 minutes against Inter and now he felt pain again in the last training session. We have way too many players who are injury prone as hell and earn pretty high wages:Zebina,Camoranesi,Zanetti,Salihamidzic etc.

We have only 5 midfielders.
Nedved will surely play. His last derby d'Italia. No way he'll miss it. Marchionni is also certain to start.

Unless Ranieri does the impossible and plays 4-3-3, then there are only 3 options for our midfield, of which the last one isn't even an option probably.

1. Nedved-Poulsen-Tiago-Marchionni
2. Giovinco-Nedved-Poulsen-Marchionni
3. Nedved-Poulsen-Tiago-Giovinco.

I bet everything i have that it's gonna be #1.
