We have only 5 midfielders.
Nedved will surely play. His last derby d'Italia. No way he'll miss it. Marchionni is also certain to start.

Unless Ranieri does the impossible and plays 4-3-3, then there are only 3 options for our midfield, of which the last one isn't even an option probably.

1. Nedved-Poulsen-Tiago-Marchionni
2. Giovinco-Nedved-Poulsen-Marchionni
3. Nedved-Poulsen-Tiago-Giovinco.

I bet everything i have that it's gonna be #1.
But... i want #2:shifty:

Giovinco is a must, otherwise we gonna see a similar Juve to the one we saw in the first round :frown:

someone should take zanetti to the back of the training facility and put him out of his/our misery

our MF situation is such a joke and we are gonna be ripped to shreds

If Ranieri benches Del Piero for this one then I wish one of our fans will hit him with a baseball bat right on his forehead.
He won't even if he wants to. Trezeguet hardly made the call up list (he was training alone until yesterday) and it looks like he's not ready to start the match.
Del Piero-Iaquinta will almost surely start.

I think that this game might prove to be the most useful in the season.
Why?
If we loose and we loose badly(I am quite sure Inter will be highly motivated to destroy us) there will be no sense in our management's talks that Ranieri's spot is safe and sound for the next season.
The players would perform at best so we would be able to identify for the last time before the transfer season if we could count on somebody or not. I would brake it this way: There are no excuses of team problems, lack of motivation, underestimation of whatever the hell is next for THIS game.
There is quite enough time to change and adapt our transfer targets as well as consider kicking out the whole current management.

So I am starting to believe we are yet to see our most important part of the season anyway. There is something I want to add as well: every time speculations start circling about possible coach replacement and management starts answering them(indifferent to whether they suppress them or not) - sooner or later they become reality.

So let's hope that we leave a red spot on Mourinho's ass or he does the same to us. Both will be helpful in their own ways.
But that most definitely wouldn't be 'the MOST USELESS GAME EVER', IMHO.

Mourinho: "With words Juve have been having a great championship: They started last summer by saying they wanted the scudetto, later they said they were a squad made for the CL. After their elimination they started again with the scudetto talk by warning us and saying they wanted to win the direct encounter to start the road to the scudetto: Today they talk about winning the Coppa Italia".
