Sissoko Will Be Fine - Agricola
Juventus have confirmed that Momo Sissoko’s injury is unlikely to rule him out of the Champions League preliminaries following an examination carried out by club doctor Ricardo Agricola.
The Mali international returned to the Bianconeri’s Pinzolo summer training camp after his international tour of duty with his country.
The former Liverpool man picked up an injury during the World Cup qualifiers and he underwent a further examination by Juventus club doctor Ricardo Agricola on Tuesday who has confirmed that all is well.
“The examination went well and it revealed slight strains in his posterior muscle in his left leg,” said Agricola.
“The player has not complained about any pain and he will undergo some different exercises to the rest of the squad in order for him to make a full recovery.
“He will be fully fit by the end of pre-season and so he should be ready for the preliminaries of the Champions League.
“However, it’s up to Claudio Ranieri as to whether Sisoko plays in those games.”
The Old Lady will be hoping to have a fully fit and fresh squad available in order to get through the preliminaries and into the group stages as she searches for glory on the nig European stage.
