this is crap, y wud moggi kill himself, when he is biding his time to unleash the truth, if moggi dies, then the truth about calcio becomes a john doe, only moggi knows all.
There was a rumor that Moggi had fallen into depression, around May/June, I was not surpised hearing him say this.
He said that what stopped him was the faith and the braveness of Julio Gonzalez, the now ex Vicenza player that lost his arm in a terrible accident and that has started working right away to make it to football again even in his new mutilated state.

What enrages me is that, if Luciano hadn't decided to keep on fighting, he wouldn't have been the first person "murdered" by the media and by their BS.

Luciano Moggi has shocked the Italian football yet again, by declaring that he wanted to commit suicide following the Calciopoli scandal.

The former Juventus director has left the football world, but he still is very present in the daily sports news with his comments, opinions and declarations. His latest shocking revelation arrived on Sunday during the registration of an Italian TV program 'Il Bivio' (The Crossroad), where Luciano Moggi declared that he was on the verge of committing suicide following the Calciopoli scandal, but only his faith in religion stopped him from doing so.

"I also thought about killing myself, but only the faith made me stop from doing it," an emotional Moggi told the presenter.
This was later confirmed by the same Moggi when a journalist asked him if what he said was true.

"Yes, it's true. As soon as it happened I thought of doing it, but not anymore."

Moggi's involvement in the Calciopoli scandal cost Juventus two league titles and the demotion to Serie B football, but is still regarded by many Bianconeri fans as a hero.

Pity that same "faith" did not prevent from commiting atrocities to Italian football in general and Juventus to be specific. Reading garbage like this makes me wanna barf

Now obviously it's a serious matter when a human considers to take his own life. His faith in God stopped him and I think that's very good.

I love you Moggi. To the end!

Encouraging performance enhancing drug usage, manipulating matches. Juventus whether you want to hear it or not is a tainted club, the rest of the world look and say well, its Italy, so its normal and that for me is very wrong. But all you people want to hear is , we have been screwed by Inter and everyother team does it but we were the only ones that got punished. Pouring scorn on players for leaving a bad ship and then not looking at the cause of the ship being rotten to the core. Why do you think that Juventus as a club dissociated itself from Moggi? If he was in fact innocent, juve would have fought to the very end to clear its name, instead we accepted serieB cos we knew with allthe atrocities he commited it could and should have been a lot worse. Or you do not think that locking up a referee because he was not happy witht he guy's performance is a criminal offence?
How many clubs do you know have high profile players testify that they indeed did use epo? This kind of nonsens is not accepted in wwe , talk less of Juventus. Some of you might be happy with that idiot and read pathetic sob stories, but i cannot, nothing about his regime, impressed me at all, and i mean nothing. This is not me kicking anyone when they are down, even when we were up, i always criticised his buying policy and the way we have played since he has been here which is geared towards power players than skill. "Wanted to commit suicide" my ass, the prick is just feeling sorry for himself, whats all the melodrama for. He is a crook, let him act like one, at least i will respect him more for that, be defiant Moggi, you held seriea by the balls for over 10 years, cut out the pity me crap

Leave it alone, Denco. Moggi is a saint.
Moggi is not a saint, but Juventus came out perfectly clean from the doping scandal (by one of the most.. strict italian courts) and was judged guilty by courts created by Guido Rossi, without any proof or illicit behavior.

Anyway, the trials are still in progress and this time the courts judging will be "real" ones.

@denco: why Juve didn't fight? Because they had interest in not doing so and because this was the perfect solution to get rid of a manager (Giraudo, because the real target of the calciopoli affair was him) that was gaining too much power.

Again and again, this is also your assumption, do you have a proof of Rossi´s setup?

And don´t get me wrong, I´d love to see a fair trial this time, but denying Moggi´s wrongdoings is just lame.

    I would shead a tear if Luciano had taken his life. A large part of our continued success in the last 15 years - & yes, keeping Inter down - we owe to Moggi. A powerful, intelligent man, & above all a Juventino. He wanted the best for us, & went out of his way to ensure we got it. Very rarely did he make mistakes in the transfer market, perhaps Lippi's final season he took his eye off the ball for the first time. But look how he reacted - sell Zizou, Van der Sar & Inzaghi for big profits, bringing in Buffon, Thuram, Salas & Nedved. Then there's Canna, bought in a straight swap for Fabian Carini, he was a spent force, yesterdays hero. Now he is a balon d'or winner, the World Cup winning captain, World Player of the Year. Has anyone thanked Moggi for resurectting his career & saving him from his Inter hell? No, of course not, Italian football has learnt its lesson, say nothing, keep quiet. Moggi is not to blame for Calciopoli, Italian society is. The country is weak, open to corruption. Moggi was guilty of being the first to excersize power, Interisti are only jealous that nobody at their club had the balls to do it first. Berlusconi was pi$$ed that someone was more influential (and yes, bent!) than him. Think its time to let Moggi have the last word;

On 17 July, Moggi spoke to the newspaper La Repubblica in Follonica in his native Tuscany.
'I'm very well. My sister said she has never seen me so relaxed ... Of course [I'll return to football] ... but this time I'm going to be the guy who breaks everybody's balls. I'll finger them all, by their first names and their surnames. I'll break the balls of all the false moralists of this world who think that everything is clean now because they got rid of Luciano Moggi.'"It wasn't me who invented this football; it's the system that has always worked like this. All I know is that I've been ambushed and stabbed in the back in a way that I could never have imagined."

    forza Luciano.
