Actually it has. We are currently in a position where we can perfectly do this (see financial thread).

However, its not because we can that we should. If the management doesnt deem the significant up front investment in Pjanic to be worth it, they simply wont make it.

If James would tomorrow say he'd want to play for juve and real says "40 mil up front", Marotte will not hesitate to do it.

Maybe we can do it but chose to wait and see how much we generate from sales of Pereyra and Asamoah (and maybe Hernanes), while also waiting to see what happens with Mascherano, Morata and the other targets from Madrid we discussed before deciding if it's worth making such an important Investment. We might not want to have any problems with other transfer at the expense of this one, which is why we resolve other ones 1st. Just a guess

if we are interested inhim, and he is a clue piece of our team..we should buy him regardless of asamoah and trhe surpluses.

Taking in consideration our selling hisroty of rejects...it will be time consuming for marotta to sell those guys...so we better build our team and then see how we offload those guys

It would be a risky move but I agree. Longer we wait the more chance another club sneaks in.

Don't think we will have a problem finding buyers for Asamoah & co.

Yep, just can't see us paying 38M upfront for a player. This day hasn't come yet. Unless we get our 25M from Bayern right now upfront for Coman.
How did we structure the Dybala deal? Not very sure, but wasn't a chunk of that 32m up front? I know it wasn't the entire amount for sure, but still. And what about the Sandro deal? I think we have some leftover cash from the Vidal sale to enable a full buyout purchase like this one, even if the two deals I've mentioned here don't mirror a buyout clause type situation of cash upfront. Id also consider the trade-off. 38m is really nothing in todays market, and with the cycle we're in, even though we are in Italy's Serie A and factoring things like amortisation in our sales, still think we are well placed.

Tuttosport claims Allegri is insisting for Pjanic
Give the man what he wants Beppe, before you get husted.

And we have to now also factor in that its not just the regular biggies, practically any club in England can now afford to trigger that clause. If this guy is one of our primary targets, we should close without thinking about the sales. That said though, it does weaker our outgoing negotiations no doubt, unless we sell in England.

What are the chances if us getting him?.

I can bet my ass that half of the roma team is messaging Pjanic to his mobile like : "Man, wtf are those rumours?. JuBe dude? seriously? dont be such a traitor!!".

    1%.

Problem aren't the 38m, problem is that you have to pay them at once. It's not something we seem willing to do. Marotta and italian teams in general makes deal that are payable over a couple of years.

yeh...i cant see roma going easy on us, specially if we are reinforcing to fuck them ever more at the expense of one of their best assets.

Put in their side and this deal makes zero sense for them. if the man wants to be sold, then is way better to sell abroad..specially EPL where there are teams that can pay this amount straight without even trying.

There are still rumours about him coming here. Some reports say he met with roma and told them he wants to join Juve. Same reports say Paratici is in Rome to talk with them.
