City in for Pjanic?
By Football Italia staff
Manchester City are reportedly interested in Miralem Pjanic, but Juventus want at least €80m.
The English champions are on the lookout for a creative midfielder, after losing out on Jorginho to Chelsea.
While the two players are not identical in terms of their role or characteristics, the Bosnian would be a quality alternative.
According to Tuttosport, City had a €50m bid rejected before launching their assault on Jorginho, but that was immediately rejected by Juve.
The Bianconeri have no need to sell Pjanic, and he could in fact sign a new contract in Turin.
However, the temptation of working with Pep Guardiola is there, though Juventus won’t even consider a sale for less than €80m.
Barcelona have also been linked, but they may move for Adrien Rabiot of Paris Saint-Germain instead.
