Krasic 'given minimum diving ban'

Juventus should not appeal against the two-match Milos Krasic ban, as even that was “the minimum possible sentence,” explained the Disciplinary Commission.

The Bianconeri have launched an appeal after he was suspended for diving to win a penalty in the 0-0 draw with Bologna on Sunday.

It will lead him to miss the games against Milan and Cesena.

“The sanction was the minimum possible sentence,” said chief of the Disciplinary Commission Giampaolo Tosel.

“The sporting justice code leaves no room for interpretation, but does contemplate previous incidents.

“If Krasic had already shown similar behaviour, then he would’ve earned more than a two-match ban.

“There is the possibility to add another round on the judge’s discretion, for example for overtly celebrating the decision.”

The video of the dive was pretty clear and Tosel said as much in his report.

“It was beyond reasonable doubt that it was a simulation and what’s more a very smart dive. You can see in the way the player moved that he made it look as if there was contact, something that never happened.

“That pushed the referee towards his mistake.”

Why don't they ban him for life instead? :sigh:
