But are they equipped with tasers as well?
no, tasers are not standard issue, they are optional, also like i said tasers are not as effective as deadly force in stopping a threat, so i could easily see someone sue the cops for using a taser on someone who ends up injuring killing a bystander because the taser didnt take him down.

There's a chance tasers won't get through clothing. They also can affect different people in different ways.

I would've shot that guy way before the cops did tbh. They seemed way too patient.

It isn't here either. There is state police and federal. But I am pretty sure our state police have universal training Etc. I could be wrong though.

Well, people forget that Columbia U was a little like Berkeley East in the late 60s, even if the connection is a bit of a stretch here.

As the author correctly points out: "It is no secret that graduates of elite law schools, including Columbia, Harvard, Yale and Georgetown, often end up at large corporate law firms rather than working as prosecutors or public defenders.". - It's not as if this sort of thing is usually very high on their list of priorities.

And if it is, it would make more sense to get the law degree as soon as possible, so they're able to actually do something about the situation. Absurd and provocative.

The moral of the story is to not act in a manner that behooves someone to shoot you.

Not quite as easy as it sounds. You don't know how others interpret your behaviour and how threatened they may feel.
