Ferrari is still unproven, and parma conceded 40 goals last year.
Fabio had two bad season in a row he's the same as Montero.

I would prefer Mexes to Zebina, becaouse he has the talent to be the next Nesta.

And if you look at other defenders that werw bought for 8 mil € or less this year. Zebina is one of the best, he has experience in Seria A and youth he's 26.He was a bargain

Miguel was terrorizing the greek defense in euro2004 final and once he got injured, portugal's attack died down.

I think Miguel and Jank would give us more dimension in the attack , and he might learn a few things from zambo. We should get him now before somebody snataches him up.

Ferreira better than Miguel? What utter nonsense!!!

Miguel was as good at club level as Paulo Ferreira throughout last season, which is when the latter established himself --you just didn't notice due to Benfica's lack of exposure. As much as I like Ferreira and rate him (although his price tag is way inconsiderate but that never was a problem to Chelsea), I'd rather Miguel. He's simply much (and I mean *much*) more solid defensively while being just about as lethal offensively (both are quality passers and crossers of the ball) ... Miguel is much more of a presence overall on the pitch and works much harder.

Well, Henry , so far has not performed well in any international events, or even in the champs league. Del Piero, as much as I love him, I haven't seen him play well since .. umm ..

I do agree with you that you cannot judge a player by 4/5 games but then he did show potential and promise during that period. To me, he is a gamble worth taking, and we have some good players in our squad (thuram, zambo) that can teach him a few tricks.

True Ferriera is a euro champion, but porto did not get there by him, it as a team effort, and i doubt Benfica have that kind of quality to compare with porto.

Is 'are you drunk?' all you got to prove a point? It may not have stricken you that getting past Miguel is quite harder a feat than getting past Ferreira, but it sure did Scolari and a couple of us!
