"natural talent" i love this one
Messi dribbles in small space because of ballcontroll and extreme agility.
Ronaldo's dribbels partially come from explosiveness and agility, but are mostly tricks. And like half of the higher tier dribbels from any football videogame, come from ronaldo
how is that not natural talent ? Please enlighten me what trick messi ever brought to football, and what trickery he uses to get past players, apart from agile turns

Same goes for Ronaldinho. Yeah, he also had speed and agility, but not on messi's level.
However, he had this brilliant mind to come up with some instant trickery to get past opponents.
The elastico notably.

For this reason, in the dribbeling section, i rate players like Ronaldo, christiano ronaldo, and ronaldinho higher then messi.
Messi is so easely shut down against a strong defence. He is so, so very lucky that modern day football has horrid defensive quality.
This is because messi simply outturns most modern defenders with ease, taking the fastest route between defenders.
Players like Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and C.Ronaldo, could manage to make defenders go the wrong way, creating their own route.
I have seen Nesta aged 37 hardly playing games, in an average milan, shut down Messi entirely.
I have seen the same Nesta in his prime, getting turned inside out by Ronaldo back at Inter pre-injury. Controlling a ball between 4 Lazio defenders, doing the best step-over to elastico in history, getting clear of all of them.
A pretty slow zidane, compared to messi, could pull of simular things.
Yes, all these players scored considerably less goals against peasant fuck defences. But in the big games, against the big defences, they made the diffrence.
