Mascherano is an excellent player, and used to be the best CDM in the world. He's not as good as a centreback, but much better then most out there.
Pique, altho overrated (people call him the best CB in the world), is still a damn solid player.

Add to that the wingbacks. Sure, pure defensively they are average at best. But their massive pace, and the positionning in barcelona's system allows them to be MUCH more effective then they should normally be.
Thanks to the combination of supreme speed, positionning and teampressure, AND the immense danger of losing a ball to their fullbacks, barcelona managed to create a pretty damn solid defence.

However, as Bayern pointed out. If you can block their central axis and neutralise feed to messi, and grind them to a halt, then suddenly half of those characteristics fall away and then you get a rather average defence on the flank, still pretty good in the center tho.

Barca's defence is trash, their weakest link by far, Mascherano is not a DC, many games you find him caught out of position, failing to excute the offside trap, Pique used to be a good defender but he is shit for more than a year right, anyone who watches Barca reguraly will confirm, saying barca have a great defence shows that you knows nothing and you like to talk out of your ass just to justify your agenda.

Best Real Madrid in years, unbeated for 25+ games couldn't beat the worst barca in years, Ronaldo was nowhere to be seen again, while Messi dominated the game again. I'm not saying that Ronaldo is not a great player but to say he is better than Messi is laughable, there isn't one thing he does better than Messi, bar whining, diving and crying that refs are against him.

Why so much bias? Because obviously this is pure nonsense. Comparing Messi and Ronaldo is laughable? If judging by impact and ability not position these two can only be compared between them not anyone else. And saying that Ronaldo does nothing better apart from whining diving and crying is just beyond based and is just pure blindness.

I'm not biased, i hate Barca and my posts in this very forum can attest to that, i'm just talking talent wise, Messi is the best, he's one of the best the game has ever seen judging on pure talent, Ronaldo is a great athlete who worked his butt off to be where he is now, with Messi it's just comes naturally, Impact wise both players impact the game a great deal, and nowadays the game is much more developed that individualities are not as important as they used to be, when i say that Ronaldo does nothing better than Messi, i was talking about football attributes, dribbling, shoting, finishing, passing...
Messi is simply the best, and like i said before he's one World cup away from being the best ever, he's just been doing it for a long time that it's now something normal when Messi score a hattrick, score a chip from outside the PK area....

I don't agree with your argument that Ronaldo doesn't do anything better. Better heading, better shooting technique, more power, he is better dribbler too imo(messi being better in tight spaces), not to mention you throw out stuff like speed out of football.

And saying that Messi is naturally this good is not really accurate, I bet he trains as much as Ronaldo does. The whole notion of talent and not work being successful is ridiculous.
