how many CL goals has Ronaldo now in total. i think before this season it was 61 for Messi and 59 for Ronaldo but im not sure. so that would make it 69 for Messi now and 76 for Ronaldo if my 1st sentence was true. did he overtake Raul and is he now the all time leader...
Dutch reporter said he was now tied with messi and 4 behind Raul

Messi got the ballon d'or in 2010 despite failing hard when it mattered in europe, and got trashed 4-0 against ze germans in the 1/8 of the world cup

Meanwhile, Wesley Sneijder had commanded Inter to Championsleague victory, and propelled a dutch team to the final in the world cup

He didnt even make the top 3.

What is worse, is that commercial of fifa against match fixing. Funny, considering all these stories popping up of fifa officials taking huge bribes to assign 2022 to Quatar

Fifa is a fucking joke

The World Cup seems to bring out the worst football morons who think the sport is a battle between individuals like golf or tennis.

Dont say that to quickly. Their central defence is pretty solid, and if they can play organised on the counter, they are much better then when they make the play like they did so far
I don't know, all they have going for defense is Silva, I don't rate the simpson character much. Add to that that they have a weak midfield and all you are left with is home advantage. When is the last time the home team won? France 98, but then that year france was really good, they had youth plus expiriene.

Though when you think about it, this year I can't think of any team that could brag about having a great defense. And so far the results show that too.

All in all I think Brazil would have been in any of the WC one of the favorites because of their history, but in this one many people are overrating their chances a lot because they are the hosts.

People here underrate sideshow bob to a great amount. But pure defensively he's pretty good. And with silva to order him around, it makes shure his positionning is good aswel.
Then there are Marcello and Alves. Not that good in defence, but pose such attacking threat that the opponent wont commit to far down the flanks.

A weak midfield, is very much how you look at it. Yes, they lack a strategist. A metronome who calls the shots. (like belgium tbh). This is a big issue when trying to impose the play.
However, if brazil plays from organisation, especially gustavo becomes quite a good player, and suddenly you got a much more solid team who are lethal on the counter

Having that said, i think this is the weakest generation i can remember.

Yeah, kind of weak generation tbh. As for brasil I still think they are too weak to go all the way. Without midfield a good midfield they will loose in knockout stages.

In the two games I have seen they didn't impress me at all. And not in a way that they are out of form, but just as a unit they have many weaknesses, like I said, defense is weak. They could go all the way with that defense if they had a good midfield to back it up, to control the game and tempo, but they don't have that too. So what that they are dangerous on the counter. Midfield and shaky defense will be their fall this summer.

We'll see. The mexicans looked amazing against them yesterday. The big test will come in the knockouts.

Definatly watching all their games tho. Neymar is by far the best player to watch on the world cup so far

Idk I thought Mexico was poor apart from the beginning of the 2nd half.
