There shouldn't be any question about it anymore. Messi is just a step above Ronaldo, while Ronaldo is a step above everyone else.

It's quite clear. The way Messi rips off shots from distance with so little space, is quick in every step, and manages to trouble the defense every time he has the ball shows he's the best right now.
