Whats up with this whole, Messi can't do it in the EPL ?! The guy raped chelsea left and right when he was just 18 and Chelsea back then were raping every single team in the premier league.

Another myth in this sport to be added to the long list of ridiculous myths that we hear every year. Whats next, maradona is shit because he never played in the premier league !!
I agree. The guy is just out of this world, players like Arshavin have made it in the EPL, Messi would rip the league apart.

by scoring less goals in more games and being the striker?
I don't agree with Bozi's assessment that Higuain is outperforming Ronaldo. As i believe he only turns up against the Tenerife's, Xerez's and at best Villareals of this world. But chokes it up whenever they face decent opposition with a decent defense. Ronaldo has definitely been more consistent, more complete and overall more influential for Real.

But i also disagree with your argument here. Real play a 4-3-1-2 cum 4-2-2-2 this season. Ronaldo is always part of the top two. He has been playing as a striker all season long.

a striker? hardly and any coach who uses him as that is passing on a big chunk of his technical/physical arsenal. He does tend to play much more forward with real but not at the striker position.

I think he is more useful as a striker than he is on the wings imo. His best season with United was the season where he scored 31 league goals, in that season he was played as a striker with Rooney taking the flanks for most of Uniteds games.

This season he is definitely playing as a striker too, actually some Real fans go as far as saying the reason he doesn't play well for the Portuguese NT is because they play him on the wings and not as an attacker.

Also, i am very sure that he is playing as a striker in Real. I watch their games every week this season, other than a couple of games at the start of the season he has always played upfront in Real's system.

upfront(forward, attacker) doesnt mean striker freddy, a striker is your clinical finisher whos lurking right behind the defense looking for that run. CR doesnt play there.
He's not a poacher, but he is a striker. I think we have different interpretations of what a striker is. Would you consider DP a striker?

I would, albeit one that plays as a more withdrawn striker.

I know what you mean, he is definitely what I would call a 'forward', an attacking player who plays ahead of the midfield, but he isn't a centre forward or 'striker' as people often say in England, like Trez, Van Nistelhorse, Drogba etc. Terminology I guess.

Oh and btw, has anybody seen Vidic or Terry faced with pacey, skillful players? Messi would definitely be a success.

if people can spout of shite about Messi not being good enough to rip premiership defences to shreds then i am allowed to court controversy about Higuiain outperforming Ronalsdo
