Just read that Ronaldo has 18 goals in 19 Real Madrid games.

He is playing as a striker in a 4-4-2 this season for Real, so his job is to score goals. Also don't forget that one of the most important reason he missed so many games was because he got two straight red cards this season. Consequently he missed important games like the away games to Deportivo and Valencia.

I'd be honest here.Ronaldo IMO,is the best in the world right now.Yes,better than Messi.But i've hated him,and the fact that he was the best player in the league and team that i hated most,only magnified it all.Now that's he's playing for Madrid,i don't really have any Anti-Ronaldo rants.Infact,i actually enjoy watching him play.

I think a lot of people around here would have hated Messi too if he was playing for Man Utd.

It has nothing to do with Manchester. Some people would probably think different if he was still there, though. But that's not the case.

Someone should do a statistical analysis that is more than just a goals per game. Show who the majority of each players goals are scored (midtable, relegation fodder, and top teams) then look at goals in Cups and the CL.

@salman-i seem to be in the minority that i dislike Ronaldo as a person but greatly respect him as a player,same with ibra,maicon,rooney....but i honestly think that messi is the better players

It's probably down to personal taste,but i've always found Ronaldo's style more entertaining(and infuriating).I havent read this whole thread,so i don't know of this has been discussed,but IMO Ronaldo is someone who could pick up a team single handedly.Messi is the better team player.I think you were the one who mentioned that Maradona fans would favor Ronaldo,while Pele fans would favor Messi.That's probably correct.IMO Ronaldo needs to be the star of the show to excel at maximum,much like Maradona.I don't see him being content as an efficent cog in a big machine.Messi would probably be Ok with taht.
