That was really pathetic by the board, punishing a 21 years old for making a gesture in national team jersey to give moral support to the soldiers of his nation fighting against separatist terrorists who are spilling blood for 40 years.
your victimhood complex here is dumb. when he signed a contract with the club he likely signed behavior clauses, no? if the club doesnt want him making controversial political statements then they have every right to drop him for doing so.

its not like this was sprung on him by surprise.

funniest thing is you cant even pretend you would be consistent here. what if merih were jewish and saluted an IDF mission into Palestine during a goal celebration?

you would be even more butthurt then you are now.

and you see this is why the club doesnt want itself to be a forum for sensitive political issues. its a sports team it doesnt benefit from controversy.

two situations are entirely different and you know it. i wouldn't give two shits if there is jewish player being a jew. there are many cases of soldier salute including c.ronaldo and griezmann. that celebration exists even in fifa 2020. it is just that they gone rabid because of the killing toy they spent billions, they have been so fond of using, pkk, being dismantled by muslims.

i read that so-called ethic code. if anything, club itself broke the code by discriminating the player for his belief and nation. thousands of italian nazi sympathizers including a senator started a campaign to deport him, there was a lot of hate speech and club did not defend the player. their silence made their stance obvious. not only that, they also punished him for the same reason haters wanted him to be punished.

I don't think him not starting has anything to do with politics. Just some rotation from Sarri and giving Rugani his first start. Can't start Rugani and Demiral together atm as neither are mature enough to lead the line.

If he goes without a start for a long stretch, then it does prob come down to his political views. Which would suck.

Dude relax ffs. This is exactly why people dislike Turks sometimes -- overly sensitive, overreacting to everything, screaming everyone is against them all the time in constant paranoia.

Juve board doesn't give a shit about Turkey; it was simple rotation ffs.
