first mercato : cut wages, rejuvinate team
second mercato : fill the holes in the team
third mercato : perfect the 3-5-2, make dept for CL, get a topstriker
apart from the topstriker, he succeeded. and that last was down to the market
but i'm sure you like the blame people, such a coincidence you pop up after for some " a disputable mercato "

7. Asa, Isla, Pogba are all fantastic signings. Lucio was a decent signing, sadly he is injured but he will provide decent backup. Giovinco was a good signing, really who could you get that had stats like he did last season for 11ml. Bendtner is average but I don't think anyone else was realistically available in our price range so we decided to get a backup and stick with our current strikers. I think that was a poor move, we really need for Vucinic, Matri and Gio to find some goalscoring form.
8 from me. All the signings were very logical and seem well thought through.
Only negative is not getting a top striker, but that was nearly impossible in the market, much less striker movement than expected.
Another negative was not getting an LWB, however, with the arrival of Asamoah that might prove to be unneccessary. Whil I agree that it is a shame to waste him out of position, since he is good there it is better than wasting him on the bench. When one of MVP cant play Asamoah can move into the CM position and we'd have 2 or 3 playeres that can play on the left.
So, only thing missing from the market was a tops triker but that was objectively very, very difficult to get.

Well, I would have been HAPPIER. If we assume we didn't sign Isla and Asamoah, but a CF instead, we still would have Pogba and Marrone for the CM as back ups. Furthermore, we would have Licht and Caceres for the RB/RWB. Admittedly, the LB/LWB looks weak, but we didn't really buy Asamoah for that place either. I guess we could live with PDG and Ziegler/Giach. The same goes for Gio. He's a good addition, but we could easily live with Matri, Vucinic, Quag + new striker. Especially, if we're only going to play 3-5-2.
I would be much happier with a new striker instead of Asamoah, Isla and Gio. But as I said, I still think Asamoah, Isla and Gio are good buys. However, they weren't essential buys.
I admit, 3 was probably too low. I was a bit angry with the Bendtner thing yesterday, but there's no way I'm going above 5.
