4. Our priority was a top striker.

As much as I want Giovinco at Juve I would have been happier with this:

Jovetic (30m), Asamoah (19m, full transfer), Pogba (free)

I believe isla is a great player but it wasn't necessary, since we have Licht and Caceres.

What he did right

Giovinco(should have never left in first place)
Asamoah & Isla
Pogba for free
Leali, Boakye though they are still ?

Despicable moves

Not getting a proper striker which was the only priority
Couldn't sell a shit, bow down to Galatasaray's mockery
Making us pay 11m for what is already ours(Gio)
Letting Immobile go and getting Bendtner

I give Marotta a B (for being a Breivik for Juventus in last days of mercato)
5/10

7/10

Isla, Asamoah and to a lesser extent Pogba (he hasn't performed on a high level yet) are all 10/10 signings. The deducting factors in this is the lack of a striker and failure to remove deadwood.

I can't wait to see Isla and Asamoah integrated properly into the team rotation, we'll frankly trample down the opposition in Italy and strike fear into some european teams. I can see us taking 6 pts vs Chelsea.

8 or 9 from 10 if we were able to grab our striker.

7 for no getting it...

But ill have to give it finally a 6 because im pisssed with marotta for failing and on top of that delivering us bendtner after the Berba charade.
Im fully aware of the difficulties of getting a top dude this mercato... but why to ridicule ourselves with berba and bendter? Sorry Beep Beep Marotti

Had we signed a quality striker i'd have given an 8 or 9 but with we're going to suffer a lot in the CL without one.

As good as Asamoah, Giovinco and Isla are we're still too lacking up front so I give a 6, then again theres a chance Bendtner will do well with us but what are the odds of that?

I voted 9. Marrota is doing very good job here, he bought what we needed (Isla, Asamoah, Giovinco,Pogba, Leali). He is wrong when he speaks in Media in which players we are interested and later he can't sign none of them. He failed to sign TOP Striker but i think it wasn't his fault, Llorente was very expensive, Dzeko wasn't for sale, and he offered 30m for Jojo but his club rejected. I think we have very good team and we can win a scudetto again and we can be very competitive in CL.

I can't believe that anyone would actually rate this mercato 7 or above. We had one goal: To get a decent striker. We got Bendtner instead.
Sure, Asamoah and Isla are good players, but to be honest we would have been much better off with a striker instead of those two.
Pogba is in my opinion the best signing of this mercato. He's a huge talent and we got him for free. Giovinco was a good signing too.
Oh, and Marotta couldn't even get rid of all our garbage. This was an essential thing as well. Now we have fucking Ziegler, Iaquinta etc.

I voted 3, maybe that was a bit harsh, but I'm really disappointed. He did make some good transfers, but he couldn't do the two most important things: To get a good CF and to get rid of our garbage.

The problem with these polls is that there's little or no penalty for overpaying for a great player. It's fiscally irresponsible. We pay 50mil Euros for Cavani and some people would give it a 10/10, but in reality that would crater our finances and leave a big hole in the hull of our balance sheet. Even Moggi would never stand for that.

When stock traders are faced with an overheated market for growth stocks, they start investing in value stocks or unappreciated value around the perimeter. Or they sit out of the market entirely not to lose their shirts. When it comes to star forwards, that was what we saw in Europe this mercato.
