The first time i heard that Sarri was such a passionate smoker was when he joined us. Never knew that about him. I swear to you on my life that when i first heard that he smokes 3 packs a day, the first thing i thought was that this might happen. Im not saying his pneumonia or whatever is the cause of his smoking but i was always afraid about his health. Also, even at the time when he joined Chelsea he looked sickishly skinny to me and always thought that he has a bad health.

Pneumonia is no joke at such an age. Hopefully he recovers quickly but I won't be surprised if he misses the first few weeks.

How lax are smoking laws in Italy? Can you still smoke in restaurants and pubs?

Of course not.

I dont know where everyone is from, but there is a mischaracterization in some posts about smoking in Italy, like the guy saying the majority smokes.

Smoking in italy is less prevalent than in most European countries. Its below the EU average, and below Spain, France, etc and most of central europe.
