Huge change between how we used to play with Allegri and now with Sarri. Hopefully we can actually manage to finish some of those chances we create. But I love that we're not just crossing it in looking for Mandzukic which was literally Allegri's only tactic in attack.

Higuain really buried a ton of those last year. Cuadrado is known as a great finisher. Same with Rabiot from distance. And most of those in the box were half chances closed down immediately.

I’m a fence sitter, dude.

I just don’t think the chances we had today were anything special. They were the sort of half chances everyone bitched about during the end of Allegri’s time here. And aside from last year (which was a mess), there were a ton of matches under Allegri with 20+ attempts towards goal.

Anyways. I’m mostly just messing around here. It’s preseason, and this was the first match I watched even part of. I’ll give Sarri until the end of CL group stage before I make my first real judgments about his time here.

I dont think his unapologetic bluntness will be appriciated by the management lol (PR fluff is more their style), was the same in Napoli. He was 100% right in everything he said after the game, clarified that its completely out of his hands, and the limitation of registering for CL due to lack of homegrown (Gee, it was so smart nnot keeping the only quality home grown player we produced in 13 years...), leads to absolute desperation to sell players to adjust.
