Sarri:“Obviously, it takes a while to settle in, understand the approach, the way things work here, then after a while you can start trying to tweak a few things.”

He also made it work Dybala and Ronaldo. Which is very difficult. He even said that in his interview.
He seems to focus on this a lot. Obviously he has two champions, a problem any coach would like, but when you are a coach who almost strictly plays a certain way I think it kind of frustrates him.

Better get thinking on how best to use them next season, hopefully with Kulu and a good supporting cast from midfield and bench.

The two matches against Inter, especially the first one. That's where he was spot on with the tactics and outsmarted Conte.
thing is that both are one-trick ponies, and we still have a better squad, so there's that. i'd never want conte back, and once he's out, i'll never want sarri back either. until then, forza juve and it means good luck to sarri while he's here, but i'm far from impressed with him.

for me, moving dybala to false 9 is sarri's only positive tactical achievement during this season. during the matches, he rarely reacted to anything else but injuries, and it took him almost half a year and countless failed experiments to realize that none of our players is a trequartista. he failed to shake up the squad's motivation, he failed to make us play faster for longer than 20-25 minutes, we're only defending higher but without the pressure element, the squad is in terrible physical shape, he failed to capitalize on the 5 sub opportunity. i'm happy for the title, but i firmly believe we won the league despite him, not because of him. a terrible fit for juventus unfortunately. covid saved both our season and his job. as we won't have a proper pre-season rest, he'll probably stay as a consequence.

No matter what anyone, me included, think about Sarri and how he played this season, i am happy for him. Im sure that this Scudetto means the world to him and he will cherish this for the rest of his life and im pretty sure that so far this has been the higlight of his professional life, peobably even his whole life. Enjoy Sarri and i hope that you have a lot more sucesses with Juventus.

Maurizio Sarri explains the feeling of winning his first league title, why he took some time to ‘tweak’ Juventus and what he told the players. ‘If you won with me, you must be really good!’

This was his first major title after the Europa League with Chelsea, and he became the oldest coach ever to win the Scudetto, aged 61 years and six months.

He ran off to the dressing room straight after the final whistle, as he seemingly wanted to smoke a cigarette and avoid getting foamed by his players, but appeared to achieve neither of those aims.

“It has a special feeling, of course. It’s difficult to win, it becomes even more complicated to keep winning, as taking something for granted in sport is one of the biggest lies in the world,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was not a walk in the park. It was long, difficult, stressful, and this squad deserves a lot of credit for continuing to find the hunger and determination to keep going after eight wins in a row.

“I left the field because I was trying to avoid getting a bucket of water thrown over me, as it was obviously on its way, but I didn’t manage to get away.”

Paulo Dybala limped off during the first half of today’s 2-0 win over Sampdoria with a muscular injury.

“We’ll have to do some tests, but there does seem to be a muscular problem.”

Juventus have become the first club in Europe’s top five leagues to manage nine consecutive titles.

“Cristiano Ronaldo and Dybala make the difference on the field, so clearly they deserve a lot of credit, but the club behind them is every bit as important. We have a President and directors who attend training every day, are there to exchange ideas, see if you need anything and put petrol in the tank of this team. The club is a big part of why they were able to win for so many years. They back you even when you lose.

“In terms of organization, Juventus are at the top of European football. I could not have asked for anything more. Obviously, it takes a while to settle in, understand the approach, the way things work here, then after a while you can start trying to tweak a few things.

“You can’t just walk straight into a club that has won for eight years in a row and immediately try to order changes. That wouldn’t be very intelligent.”

Sarri was brought in to replace Max Allegri in order to make the Bianconeri play better football, particularly with their forwards.

“There were tactical difficulties, trying to get all these very strong players and their various characteristics to work together. That was not something to be taken for granted, as we saw in previous years, because Dybala and Ronaldo didn’t really start together very often.

“They are world class, but it’s not easy to get them to work together with their characteristics. With a lot of work, I think we managed it.”

The season was also freakish because it lasted 11 months, including a three-month break for the COVID lockdown, with several players including Dybala contracting Coronavirus.

“Before the lockdown, we seemed to find a certain solidity, that we then lost again after the restart. I saw in many teams during this period that they got stretched out or lost focus at times, so maybe it was a general issue we all had after such a long break.”

Sarri said at one stage that he had a discussion with the players and they managed to understand each other.

“I think that happens more or less in any dressing room, doesn’t it? We all try to seek improvements and find ways that everyone can be happy, as this is a collaboration. The more openly we face issues, the easier we can resolve them.”

The coach was asked what he said to the players during the post-match celebrations.

“I told them, if you won with me who has never won anything, you must be really good!” he laughed.

“The first day you come in, you see people, not just world class players. As time passes, you get fond of them and the rapport goes from being strictly professional to personal too.

“The first day, I step into the locker room and know there are some top players. After a while, you walk in there knowing there are some great guys you can rely on too.”

Wojciech Szczesny showed the feeling was mutual, as during the interview live on Sky Sport Italia, the goalkeeper gave him a lit cigarette: ‘Here, you deserve it.’

We will arrive at the Lyon game with 14 games in 40 days. Each team this season has a particular and unique history. It is very important to beat Lyon, because then I have the feeling that anything can happen this year.

[Sarri]
With this amazing midfield anything can happen.. We can concede 4 against Real or 5 against City and while with this team it feels impossible to think we can go past any of these two there is Bayern`s 6 waiting just in case..
Teams pass it easily through our midfield so I dont think there is much of a chance..

Sarri took over in Napoli in 2015. Everyone remembers the Sarriball of the 2016/17 & 17/18 season. The second and third season with Sarri at the helm.
I was never a fan of Sarriball. I dont understand what our board see in it as it is just too predictable.
I saw many predictable moves but there have been some sparks here and there. I personally think we still need to get rid of him but I think our board is set on giving him his second season so I guess there is nothing we can do about it.
Hope overrated Jorginho delivers for us next season..
