Every single kind of crossing has been abysmal this season (freekicks, corners, crosses from open play). Still find it baffling that we have 2 of the best offensive headers in the game (De Ligt and Ronaldo) and still cannot score or create anything from our corners.

Glad I am not the only one noticing this extreme deficiency.

None of them ever seem to look up, always playing with their head down, and half the time with nobody in the box to cross it to.

And when we do manage to get a cross in the box no one is there

We can't and shouldn't fire him now obviously. He has until the end of the season to see if he can get a gameplan working, and if he can learn to adapt and adjust to situations. If he can't, and we end up losing to Lyon and ceding the Scudetto, he needs to fuck off. Simple!

Id still rate Del Neri and Ferrara as our worst coaches in recent past, but Sarri isnt that far off. The style of play he is forcing upon us, isnt suited for players at his disposal and I would be looking for a young and perpective manager if we will make neccesary investments over the summer.

If our results and style of play were better Id turn a blind eye on his clothing style, tracksuit on matchdays wtf, chewing the cigarette butt, inappropriate comments and post match interviews... But in current situation, all of it is detrimental. He simply sticks out like a sore thumb. If anyone remembers the episode of "Only Fools & Horses" when DelBoy shows up during Rodney's weekend stay on a country side at his gf who comes from upper class. All that minus the element of fun.

De Zerbi has been praised for growing young players. Probably not fit for the job yet, but when I read something about promising managers in the Serie A his name is usually there.

Next generation Italian managers are coming. Inzaghi at Lazio, Gattuso (who already did fine last year) and even Pippo Inzaghi is doing great.

Roberto d’Aversa had two back to back promotions with Parma and he brought the stability back there.

Not saying we should sign those guys, just pointing out some talented managers in Italy.

I know it’s a bit forced, but having changed so many things at the club I’m kinda hoping that we at least continue with our ‘tradition’ to have a Italian manager.

Teams can literally park the bus to block whatever our front 3 throws at them. Opposition teams have to give zero fucks to any of our midfielders b/c they all suck and they know it...all they need to worry about is defending against 3 attackers...not 3 attackers, decent wingbacks and 3 midfielders...how easy is it to pack a defense to stop 3 players all underperforming?

Our midfield is the Achilles heal of this team. Sad part is they don't even need "stopped". They do nothing as it is, so there is basically nothing for an opposition team to stop.

Sad part is that we sacked one of the most successful coaches in club history instead of fixing the midfield for him. And then replaced with a guy who has won zilch. Rather stupid.

Juventus have been outstanding in the league for years but in Europe we were always a defensive team, tactical and conservative. We've been built on solid defence and traditionally happy to defend a single goal lead for most of the match.

The CL winning teams are most often those with very attacking philosophies so we had to go for someone like Sarri. Yes it was always a risk but in order for us to change our style, we needed to take the risk sometime. It's clear that getting our players to play 4-3-3 is beyond some of them, they just don't have the attributes so overhaul the squad for Sarri. I don't want to blame motivation because I've never been to his training sessions but our squad is not made for Sarri's style. Pep and Klopp would be in the same position, how do you get one dimensional players like Matuidi, Pjanic and Rabiot to suddenly become those all action players? How can you expect Dybala to be a target man?

I see 2 options. 1, Sarri goes all defensive and back to a familiar style that the players like but this is no Allegri to perform miracles in the CL. 2, stick with it and force a change in our play. It might be frustrating and fruitless but it might be great for us moving forward. Say Sarri goes at the end of the season, do you go for Inzaghi and his safe bet 3-5-2 or do you risk another attacking coach to try and change our style?

I'm not happy with us this season but look at the bigger picture.
