4-3-3:

Woz - Danilo - Chiellini/Bonucci /De Ligt (rotation is key, keeping all of them fresh and healthy. We don't wanna see Rugani in the starting 11 of a crucial CL fixture now, do we?) - Sandro - Rabiot/Ramsey - Pjanic - Bentancur - Cuadrado - Dybala - Ronaldo

That should be our lineup for CL fixtures. If anyone is injured or suspended, sub in Higuain for the attack (Costa if he ever regains fitness), Matuidi and Khedira for Serie A games.

Pretty sure that's what we will see except for more Matuidi

People wanting a formation that suits the players we have available.

Ah right, it's the 4312. to make use of all our worldclass mids. Or the 433. To make use of all our attacking wingers. Look no further i guess.
What do we achieve by putting an extra CB instead of extra CM or extra attacker? Fullbacks able to push high up? Alex Sandro after the winter break doesnt seem like someone Id want to see as our main threat on the left. RB in our setup already has similar attacking freedom to RWB.

4312 and 433 is also better if you defend like we do, running forward and pressing the opponent instead of staying in shape.

Allegri would play MDL-Bonucci-Chiellini-Alex Sandro

Alex Sandro would bomb forward and MDL would stay back. If the alternative is to play Danilo or MDS at RB, why not just put MDL there?

pretty simple. We cover for our lack of attacking mids and shift that to areas of the pitch where we have more depth. I too would like to see wingers but we have one real winger and he is always injured so why are we playing formations like 433 or 4312?

and why do we need to high press? just because of sarri? we have ronaldo and dybala on the pitch neither of whom are the high pressing type so why continue with it? because we have higuain who can press high? but then you have higuain dybala and rknaldo on the pitch all at once?

its because Sarri is an incompetent coach unwilling to go outside of his very narrow ideas even when he does not at all have the squad for it.

sacking maxx and acquiring Sarri was scandalous and heads should roll for it.

Proactive play, which includes high press or at least some sort of pressing, is the one thing we hired Sarri for. Have you forgotten games against Ajax last year? It was a clear example why teams sitting back and inviting pressure almost never win CL
