The darkest period is certainly sporting wise. I don't know much about their finances, hence my question.

I wouldn't say so. The last time Ferrari won was in 2007/2008. Arrivabene joins Ferrari in 2015 and managed to make them challenge again in 2017, 2018.

He leaves Ferrari and the following season is a disaster. Now the regulations have changed dramatically and Ferrari seems to be on top of those changes, finally. And Mercedes have it all wrong.

But just like in everything else, he's neither the sole reason for their growth, nor their failures. The only thing we can hope is that he does a better job than Paratici, sporting wise and financially, something that shouldn't be underestimated, and I think is the biggest reason Elkann moved him to Juventus.

If he's at Juventus. It's because John Elkann trusts him to stable the ship. And I trust that Elkann knows what he's doing.

This club needs to get better at realizing when a player has peaked and or started to regress. We tend to hold onto players for far too long when we should be selling while they still have value. Sandro/Dybala are current examples. Dybala's value 2 years ago would have been a substantial help in upgrading defense or midfield. Sandro 3-4 years ago same.

Hopefully the lesson(s) have been learned and we look to sell the Arthur's and Rabiot's of the squad. I'd rather by some young Italian and slot them in b/c they absolutely cannot be worse than Rabiot, for example.

Look at Inter's midfield: Hakan, Brozo, Barella, Gagliardini, Vidal, Correa compared to ours. All would walk in (some walking back into) our lineup. We really need to get back to the basics.

Anyway, I hope Arrivabene is more savvy when it comes to recognizing when its time to cut losses and off load players.
