Bs, lots of Licht performances are on this level, but people priase him for being a fighter even when the ball isnt lkstening to him. Isla busted his balls for us in this game.

Of course Licht has had similar performances. Which I then call average as well.
It's simple, if what I saw yesterday is supposed to be a good game for Isla, then all hope is lost for me.
I will admit that he worked his ass off. So did Asamoah, but no one seems to be impressed with him yesterday. And rightfully so.
Here's what I remember from Isla:
- He intercepted the ball 0 times.
- He cleared the ball 0 times.
- Not quite sure how many passes he misplaced, but it felt like a lot.
- Don't think he ever went past his marker (which, amusingly enough, Asamoah did manage to).
- In terms of crossing, you're talking of +/- 1 in 4 that ends up somewhere remotely useful.
- Had a major hand in us conceding.

Licht averagely manages to complete 80-85% of his passes and has about 50 attempts per game. As I said he's more involved compared to before. Nothing impressive certainly but I think it was rather positive performance not worth of criticism.
Well pay more attention next time or at least check some stats before commenting anyone's performance.

While the stats seem to prove Isla was actually below average & Asamoah was, in fact, really good.

I'll add to Tuttosport's cause by saying that they provide more data, which could be indicator of more comprehensive analysis. You can see stats are divided into 3 sections and overall they follow roughly around 30 stats, while Gazzetta focuses on 12 of them. Of course it could mean more mistakes as well.
As for the game I had a thought that both of them put in above average performance and contributed to our style of play in a very different way.

If one points out performance indicators that are entirely linked to statistics (pass completion and interceptions) and one is then faced with said statistical evidence that debunks one's preconceptions, then all one needs to do is re-pivot and claim that statistics aren't the whole picture.
