It sounds like they're trying to cut wages and could sell some of their higher paid players ---- names like Gnabry, de Ligt, Goretzka, Coman, Kimmich, and Upamecano are all rumored to be available --- and they wont extend Davies at the price he's asking for.
How do they fill those spots? selling 5 key players just for making finance balance?!

People on here are taking victory laps like he sucks and that's why they're trying to sell him. But ask Bayern fans. They'll argue he was their best CB last season, and has been their best CB since he arrived. They're pissed he's even on the market.

I'd argue he's somewhere in the middle of all these hot takes. He's never lived up to his Ajax hype to become an elite, world class CB that many expected --- but he's good enough to be a quality starter for pretty much any club in the world.
he's also only 24. lots of defenders hit peak level at later twenties.

when cannavaro won ballon do'or he was 32.

when van djik joined liverpool from southampton he was 28

I dont expect they're going to sell every player, but I'd have to imagine they'll try to sell one of Upamecano/de Ligt and Coman/Gnabry and bring in someone new to replace them. I also imagine they'll try to sell Goretzka, but he's on high wages and probably wont leave.

It doesn't look good when such a talent cant even get a starting spot at his NT team
AHA!

i fucking got you now. you and @Alin are gonna have to admit. if this talent can't start a game for his NT it must mean he is overrated right?

well well well. a certain del piero was never starter in national team. even his old coach lippi considered him bench at best behind totti. so proof del piero was overrated.

0 min in the group stage. I wonder what's his problem because all my Bayern fan friends told me he's solid. So is it more of tactical choice? Or maybe it's something off the pitch we don't know?

It's the same way older players start over more talented younger players on all national teams. You see it all the time.

It's like mocking Camavinga or Tchouameni because they dont start over Rabiot or Kante

Netherlands fans are frustrated and disgusted with Ronald Koeman's decisions --- just like a lot of fans are with the coach of their national team

de Ligt isnt some world class superstar, but he's a pretty good player --- and probably should be starting for the Netherlands if they were just putting their best players on the pitch.

Honestly speaking, going to United is suicide for your career.

He has been solid for us when playing, but his massive salary and constant injuries did it. And now we got in another coach that doesn't plan with him, sad to see him leave though. Not to forget we need income after signing Olise and Palhinha for hefty prices. Btw, notice how many of those top10 signings that turned out to be flops. Our best signings has historically always been on the cheaper end if you look through the list.

But keeping that massive brainfart Upamecano around is just laughable. He had 3 years in Bayern and has not developed one bit, at best he has stagnated, at worst he regressed.

If he’s been so great at Bayern(whenever not being benched that is) how come only United seem to be seriously interested? Or why is Bayern even trying to get rid of him when they still have other CB’s that underperformed like Upamecano and Kim still around? I guess it must be the wages conversion to performances ratio that just doesn’t add up for most teams.
