Ito must have improved a lot over the past two years.

De Ligt will go to United won't he?
He has to either reduce his wage or accepts to play for a club in his current level, if he reduces his wages then top clubs will come to him even bayern would him but wage is the main problem. I wouldn't be surprised if i see him with man utd's jersey, man utd is his level.

I still think he has a couple of cycles left at a big club (I'd include United in this even though they're currently shit) before he ends up playing for West Ham or Al Gharafa.

Funny but he joined juve because of Cristiano convincing him to join after the Nation's league finals then after CR7 departure he jumped ship too, just shows you how muddled his head is. fragile mentality.

I remember our forum was super excited about De Ligt transfer. At least 20 pages talking about him as a generational talent. We tracked his flight, etc.
He was supposed to be the next big thing while everyone here was eager to see him as a Bonucci replacement in a pairing with Chiellini(which soon after got injured), we thought we are securing our long term future in the CB department but little did we know about his absurd wages and the fact he was still very much raw and unprepared for such a big step at the time.

Handballs aside, he was really good here.
Bremer is even better, but De Ligt was excellent in most of the games he played for us.

I fapped for Rugani-Caldara
I fapped for De Ligt-Demiral
Hell I even fapped for Dragusin and De Winter.

Oh Lord please tell me, should I fap for Bremer and Calafiori?

Excellent for most of the games he played here? That’s quite a stretch tbh, maybe a handfull of excellent games, large majority were basic or in line with the rest of the team along with a few completely dreadful ones, hence why he did not warrant the wages he was on and was let go for less than what we had paid ourselves for him.

The Bremer - Calafiori one is probably the closest to the Chiellini - De Ligt level of hype. :D

He was brought here because of his excellent stats at ajax(2018/19), scored 7 goals and assisted 4 as a defender while he was 19 years old,(incredible for his age and the position he was playing ) yet he still performed but the difference was ajax played attacking football in that time and we changed 3 coaches in three years. we got him in the worst periof of time.

That is also true, and i’d be lying to say i did not want him here back then, but as could be seen with his more ‘attacking football’ national team he did not excel there either during that time, and after his departure from Juve he also did not hit the ground running in an offensive football machine like Bayern, although admittedly he also caught them in their worst period of time, but neither did he do much to actually improve them defensively(nor in terms of playing out from the back for that matter), which if we are to be honest is what you normally expect from your highest paid defender.

Don’t get me wrong, he is a good defender overall and still has plenty of room to mature towards becoming even better, but so far he is being judged on what he does in the present, which is someone that doesn’t necessarily standout anymore and is just aligned on the same level as the rest of team, therefore he hasn’t justified the wages and pricetag relative to his performances.

Worst thing is he may not even return to his original level due to injury or becomes a part time player like dybala.

Don't follow Buli, why Bayern doesn't want him any more?
It sounds like they're trying to cut wages and could sell some of their higher paid players ---- names like Gnabry, de Ligt, Goretzka, Coman, Kimmich, and Upamecano are all rumored to be available --- and they wont extend Davies at the price he's asking for.

People on here are taking victory laps like he sucks and that's why they're trying to sell him. But ask Bayern fans. They'll argue he was their best CB last season, and has been their best CB since he arrived. They're pissed he's even on the market.

I'd argue he's somewhere in the middle of all these hot takes. He's never lived up to his Ajax hype to become an elite, world class CB that many expected --- but he's good enough to be a quality starter for pretty much any club in the world.

That i can agree with, although not necessarily a nailed on starter at any club in the world but he’d sure be in rotation just about everywhere.

Also, this discussions are no victory laps because that was already done when we managed to sell him and get Bremer to replace him, what’s going on now is just a bit of banter and sarcasm about someone who thought of himself as being too good for this club or that it was Juventus stagnating his growth only to find out that the grass is not always greener on the other side either.

85 millions

Why did Juventus pay that amount on a defender when midfield/RB was more important to fill with a talent of this price tag..
