He looks better than Van Dijk. Actually haven’t really seen him make a mistake that I can remember recently. With Ramos looking off, Van Dick injured, Varane out of form, one could make a case that MDL is approaching elite status.

Absolute machine. Fucking love him.

With him marshalling our defence it allows us to play a very high line, as he is quick and mobile enough to get back if he’s ever caught out of position. It’s no coincidence that not just our defence, but our general play has improved since his return.

Couldn't have found a better choice to replace an ageing Chiellini. Dude is a monster. I am worried that someone will pay the clause

Need to come up with a plan to really lock that ass down:fab::pavel::agnelli:
I agree and I would never sell but if Raiola wants him to move then the player will move. We know that every time we deal with Raiola and we make peace with it. 150m euros would buy us a superstar at another position. A clause that large is a compromise, it protects the club and the player.

Soon to be acknowledged as the best defender in the world. Imho he already is. Lets not start sale talks already. Hopefully he will stay for many years here. One of the most complete defenders Ive ever seen. As we have seen from Pogba's case, the huge recieved fee in no way will guarantee sound investment. You folks attribute too much to Raiola, players ultimately decide and MDL is completely different character to Paul. Model of proffessional, driven persona focused on the pitch, appreciates other greats of this club and strives to become one himself. Nedved was Raiola's client as well, but there was never contraversy tied to him because like MDL he too was focused on football career rather than becoming an Instagram diva.

He is elite imo. I can’t think of a center back who had a better year performance wise than he did.
It’s possible. Although I don’t want to jump the gun since he hasn’t played consistently due to injury. If he continues like this through this current season then there isn’t a doubt he’s probably the best in the world right now.

150m we might buy a superstar. But we will be without CBs. Bonucci and Chiellini will be gone. I dont like Bonucci but he will be missed. He barely misses a game.
