Real Madrid tried to start talks with Mino Raiola about Matthijs de Ligt, but he's happy at Juve. He'll have €150M release clause that can be activated in two years.

Real can offer him higher wages to lure him away. As good as Juve gets, it’s tough to say no to Real for any player especially with the right money involved.

Maybe 10 years ago, but name one player in the last 5 years who has joined Real when Juve were also looking to sign them.
Real Madrid's luster is gone.

Guys, before the 1998 CL final loss, Juve was the Galacticos of football. And Milan was what Barça is supposed to be now.

I am not exagerrating.

Stop this inferiority complex, on historical average Juve and Real have exactly the same appeal.

Vinicius, Danilo at the time... And as if we would've said no to Hazard if he considered joining juve. Zidane as a coach and so on.

We never bought anyone from Real Madrid who they really wanted to keep.

Juve have NEVER been the Galacticos. They always bought Italian or more unknown players with only a few exceptions out there. Galacticos were all about buying every shiny international toy out there.

IMO currently RM is way more appealling than us and we have a lot to do with that.

In 1997, Juve was way more appealling than RM. They hadn't won anything important in decades by that time and we found a way to lose against that minnow team

Noone was like "OMG I want to go to RM" for a long time before Zizou move

Yep.

And sadly for us, real madrid got that 2002 Final and did their Galacticos marketing Campaign to cement their position. Years later Ronaldo elevated them to new heights.

All of this happened in this modern era.... so yeah the powerful juve pre 1998 is not releveant anymore. We are talking about 22 years ago ffs
