Yes he did, between 2015- 2019 seasons. The players were always chopped and changed. Allegri also transformed Juventus into serious CL contenders, defeating the likes of Man City, Barcelona and Real Madrid. We were a laughing stock of Europe for decades before this, and hadn't made it the semi finals since Lippi in 2003.
I'm more than happy to concede and accept that he had a terrible second run and he clearly dated. However let's not try and rewrite history regarding his first.

No doubt about his first stint. But he became a caricature in his second stint when he didn’t have a good squad. The football of last 3 years was the worst I can remember.

Allegro is a JJ legend, nothing can change that and he actually left on decent terms in the end. Winning a trophy and taking a minimal severence package.

But I don't remember another high profile coach fall off so quickly. Went from one of the top coaches in Europe to a Del Neri regen. Even Mourinho's decline was gradual.

I'm sure he'll stick by his 'philosophy' in his next job too but he shouldn't be anywhere near a big club again.

He also won the league with an aging AC MIlan team in 2011 and somehow took an Ibra/Thiago-less Milan into 3rd. IMO Allegri is better referred to as dated rather than a 'fraud.'

He was great in the 2010s but his style of play is not compatible in the modern game. There was signs of early decline in his last season in 2019. However he's been awful since the 2020s. Goes to show you how great Alex Ferguson truly was though.

I think it was exacerbated by his determination to do things his own way in the face of all cricitism, like his personal mission was to commit to his ideologies to the greatest extent, absolute stubborn shithousery. And then he realised that he probably wasn't going to be retained and Giuntoli wanted his own guy, we won the Coppa, and there was that crazy release of emotions where he lost the plot as he probably felt like he had "won" the moment.

I don't believe in another scenario he'd be quite so destructive or stubborn, wouldn't even surprise me to see him have a bit of success elsewhere, but you can see that his ideas are far removed from what we would consider modern football.
