Not only that. It would most likely backfire drastically and put us right back to square one again. I thoroughly didn't enjoy Paratici's experiment with Sarri and Pirlo.

This is why I find it incredible that people are calling for his head, when he's 14-4-1, and we're finally beginning to look like a team again.

It's obvious to me that we should extend his contract, and let him have another go at this new Champions league with what he's building. After all, he took us to two finals the last time. He can do so again.

That's a valid point. It's certainly not good enough as it is. But I have faith that Giuntoli will provide the missing pieces in the next two or three windows.

As I've said before, I think our summer transfers will surprise a lot of people.

This is the highly probable outcome. But that’s true for any team in football who doesn’t have close to unlimited spending power.

The teams spending/capable of spending in a way that should have them as CL contenders are City, Madrid, Bayern, Liverpool, PSG, Chelsea, ManU, Barca. That’s 8 teams. As we see with some of those teams, limitless spending hasn’t made them top tier CL contenders yet. And overcoming strict budgets had Juve and Atletico as top tier CL contenders from 2014-2019. So it’s possible, however unlikely.

I think our success over the next 5 years is highly dependent on our next gen project unearthing a few gems… and those players wanting to stay on here once they hit stardom. Again, pretty much a toss of the dice, regardless of coach.

So you think any of those top coaches were/are coming to a broke-ass Juve that’s had trouble spending pennies the last two summer mercatos? I don’t know what our spending power and ambition in that regard looks like going forward, but no top recent CL winning coach was coming here the last couple years while our finances were a wreck.

Not an endorsement for keeping Allegri, just stating what seems pretty obvious imo. If we sacked him after Maccabi or any time last season, we were hiring some young “up and comer”… and as we know, that’s pretty hit or miss. I’d personally have been all for it, at midseason or this past summer, but not right now with our results being what they are so far this year. See the season out, hopefully win scudetto and Coppa, go from there.

What if your wildly optimistic scenario falls flat on its face? Then what? We will end up with a coach tied down to mega contract that we can't afford to lay off and replace.

Do you not think that's a huge gamble? Haven't we learnt our lesson from this kind of reckless approach with player contracts?

It's one thing believing that Allegri can grind out a scudetto in this useless league, but it's another to even suggest that he can take this club to European glory. I'd love to know who you consider more ambitious signing than Allegri? I consider that a very ambitious project. He could've gone to Real Madrid if he had wanted. Probably Manchester United as well. You can distain his style of football. That is perfectly valid. But you can't say he's not a good manager. He creates a good cohesive team, wherever he goes. And he brings results, like very few others.

We don't have Xavi, Iniesta and Xavi. Or De Bruyne, Foden and Silva mind you.
We have Rabiot, Locatelli and McKennie. Kostic, Weah and Cambiaso.
It would be a suicide to try to play like City does.
