No it's not.
Allegro has never coached in a top 2 league and won trophies, he's never won the champions league. By default, that doesn't make him an elite tier coach. He'd have a better chance of being in the conversation if he had won trophies with a team outside Italy. You can't compare 90s Serie A which was the pinnacle of football at the time to 2010s Serie A so there's no point bringing up names like Lippi.
It's a shit criteria according to you because you can't digest the fact that he's not in the conversation among elite coaches. Instead you proceeded to mock my post by slipping in names like Sarri and Conte which had no relevance to what I was saying.
Allegro is a great coach, he will be remembered as a Juve legend despite his disastrous second stint. He just won't be regarded as an elite tier coach.

Allegro = Strong proponent and believer of jihadball, throws young players under the bus, can't take criticism, developed an army of radicals that align with his ideology. Quite literally the devil that this club didnt deserve at this point.

I remember seeing the preparation for the Napoli game (vs. Sarri) Where Allegro was explaining how the players should be positioning/moving to block the passing lines of Napoli..

He was absolutely an elite tier coach from 2014-2019. Name the coaches who were more successful in those 5 years? Zidane. That’s it. He was the second most successful coach in all of football over those 5 years. 5 scudetti, 4 straight domestic doubles, 2 CL finals with a significantly smaller budget than the biggest teams. That’s elite tier any way you slice it.
Where I agree with you is looking at him from an all-time perspective. Without a CL he doesn’t belong in the all-time greatest coaches category. Seems obvious.

My argument was relevant given that he hasn't had an experience abroad coaching in the best leagues in the world.
Your only intention of replying to my post was mocking me by bringing up names like Conte and Sarri. Seems you're really obsessed with these two coaches.
He's better than Conte and Sarri, I'll give you that. But when you look back at his career, would you rank him in the same tier as Pep, Ancelotti, Mourinho etc? Which football pundit/journalist outside Italy thinks he belongs in this list?

i agree with pi on allegri's long term evaluation: top coach before his sabbatical, disappointing after that. i have an impression that the home loss to man.utd broke him. you can cherry pick stuff, but he made mostly good choices before that, and became too passive after that match. if i could ask him one single thing, i'd ask him to either confirm or deny that

Then we mostly agree. I don’t care much whether he took the Madrid job or coached in another top league. It was winning CL imo to get into the conversation of all-time greatest coaches.
I suppose winning a La Liga or PL title could have bumped him up slightly, but minimum one CL title alongside 4-5+ top 4 league titles is kinda my requirement for that all-time great category.
