So, it was a 4-3-2-1 after all, playing through the middle. Kinda reminds me of Ancelotti's Chelsea in 2010, with Kalou and Anelka supporting Drogba, going wide when needed, but mostly feeding the target man, playing one-twos and even contributing in defence. We're not as fluid in the build up, and we lack creativity, but with Loca back, that should look better. Exciting stuff.
Careful now, you're entering dangerous territory. Criticism of such things isn't valid here. Dai, Vlad and PI are policing this thread like the Stasi to ensure no one dares to say anything other than how we displayed a masterful performance. Let's see if they give you the same treatment

Basically its the same as PI said as I always consider the game in hand as a win unless proven otherwise (of course I wouldnt do the same when asked about a team like Salernitana..)
Anyway I expected that answer as we are not as good as them at the moment although there are signs for a change of attitude from our side so maybe next year..

Possession means nothing for me as it is what you do with your possession that matters. We definitely deserved to win although we lost too many balls due to their pressure which allowed them have more of the ball.
This is something that we should eventually avoid but we did start the Vlahovic era properly and we are on the improvement curve so Im satisfied for now.

Honestly I don't care who manages Juve but team will get my full support every match! Welcomed Sarri expecting more goals but didn't work out. Loved having Pirlo but realized he was too inexperienced to handle the task. Seeing what Max has dome so far Pirlo results on paper weren't that bad. If not for his subbing decision weakness might have been better.
Yes lost the possession battle yesterday but in reality a shorthanded Verona did very little. If not mistaken enough Juve 60-40 possession matches with no sort of Juve offense to go with it? Too many for my liking. What I hate every match is getting pressed so successfully and constantly getting Tek involved to clear the ball. More bad than good can happen. Max needs to find a way to fix that.
Okay some numbers of late. Only 6 goals conceded last 13 league matches. And 21 goals scored gives you +15 GD. That matches the year to date GD so improvement has been made. I like Max concentrating on what he knows best, defense to get the ship righted. Now with a proven frontman hopefully the offense improves.

Id agree about opening 10 minutes. Our players were still finding their feet. Zakaria especially needed more time to grasp things, but as the match went on he grew and eventually had commanding presence in the middle. But after the initial struggle, we dominated the game in every way. Our build up became more fluid and we were able to bypass Verona's block with relative ease. Every time we crossed half, we were in position to cause problems for them as their gung ho approach left acres of space behind. Possession is indeed meaningless stat otherwise Barca would win CL every season. Last night, not that it matters much, was pretty even 47-53. What your team is capable of when in possession matters far more, the quality of chances they can create, how much they allow and where they allow to opposition, matters. If Verona managed to shoot only 1 time on target and if most of their attacks ended 35-40 meters away from the goal, then I dont see how tf they dominated us. Unless u re sour puss like Jager

I may very well expect a mad winning streak until the end of this season. But how fucked up was our start of the season with our best player gone, our 2nd best player Chiesa struggling with fitness, while Locatelli looked like the only mid able to play ball and Woj making one blunder after another. Not many alternatives on the bench back then. Right now I can finally see the light at the end of a tunnel. The team has grew tremendously since.
