Well we finished 7th twice while many of Del Piero, Nedved, Trezguet and Buffon were around, and Chiello and co were young. Why didn't they step up then? Didn't they have personality?

"Del Neri/Ferrara/Zach cant take all the blame. The experienced players need to step up and know what wearing that Jersey means" Tell that to the players that stayed in Serie B instead of move to top clubs that wanted them.

Its multi-faceted for sure but the coach takes the majority of the blame. He has to figure out a way to make them click and get results. If he doesn't he gets the boot and rightfully so just like his predecessors.
We finished 3rd fresh out of B and 2nd the following year with those. For 09/10 Nedved retired, ADP, Trez and Camo missed almost half the games each, and Buffon played in 27. Then in 10/11 Camo and Trez also left, and Buffon played only 17 games. Coincidence that our results got worse as the number of those legends decreased?

Criticism of Allegri isn't allowed?

And no, I don't blame him for our defeat to Napoli. But like all coaches he will have to answer for our results.
Allegri is in charge of this team and the results so far aren’t good enough period. It falls on him regardless of the circumstances.

To keep persisting on playing an off form goalie is a dangerous game and has cost us already.

His track record makes it likely that we’ll turn it around, but it’s not a given. People can only react to what they’ve seen so I understand both sides.

I would announce polak is injured and out for two weeks and try Perin in this period.
That should face Tek’s face, and give us a better idea about what Perin can offer us, if he does well then it’s only fair that he keeps the starting spot, if he’s not better than Tek (I can’t really see how) then it’s fine the latter is back to fitness and will retake his spot.

Ranieri inheriting a somewhat functional system of play vs much lesser coaches with weaker players. It's not a single factor. But these coaches got the sack and deservedly so even if they had a weaker roster than Ranieri. And there was enough of those legends in the team during these horrible years as evidence by how dominant they became when Conte came on board.

No one is asking for CL winning football of Allegri with this team though Ironically thats what was expected of Sarri & Pirlo at the start (shows how much expectations have dropped in 2 years :rolleyes2:).

But the winning the Serie A title and getting past the group stage should be a very reasonable target and this start is extremely concerning. If Inter out preform us in the league after losing Conte, Lukaku, Hakim and Eriksen....we should switch to basketball

Seeing how he was a midfielder in his playing days, it is concerning in a major way the midfield players Juve signed off on to join while he was at the helm:
Khedira
Pjanic
Matuidi
Emre Can
Bentancur
Bernardeschi
Rabiot + Ramsey(deals were done before his dismissal).

IMO, Pjanic and Matuidi were good/decent, the rest are a complete disaster. He has to assume some of the blame along with management for this ridiculous roster of mediocre players.

Juve had an agreement with Gigio Donnarumma. The player didn’t sign because Max Allegri thought that the €10M a year the player requested was deemed to be too high and juve were unable to sell sczescny.(Pedulla)
so now coaches have a say in not only the transfers, but also in player contracts too

journalists :touched:
