I think one of the biggest differences in attack between Allegri and Pirlo/Sarri is just that Allegri wants a lot of bodies in the box. Sandro’s goal is a good example but it used to be like that with Khedira and Matuidi aswel, where Pirlo/Sarri always wanted to have a final pass. We ended up around the box without the capabilities of giving that pass, making things unnecessary difficult. While in defense, our line is lower and one or two midfielders stay behind to close the gaps.

All just plain and simple actually, no rocket science what the other coaches tried to create.

So..what do you guys think should be the final straw when it comes to Allegri? As in, when would you be ok with him getting the can, if at all?

Hypothetically, if we’re still not in the top 6-7 come mid season, should he be let go? Or would you rather have him for the whole season? Or to put it another way, how long should a club wait for a league win before seriously considering his position? Im sure some alarm bells will go off if we lose against Milan too.

I don’t expect us to languishing out of European spots come December ( hopefully) but i’m curious what everyone’s patience level with Allegri is.

First of all, i dont think that will happen. He is here for the long run.

Secondly, if that wasnt the case, i would give him until december, i think is pretty fair.

If in december we are still struggling super bad, i think the street is the only option. But that applies to any coach, not only him.

Sarri was one dimensional no long balls or switch of play from one flank to another and Pirlo playing out from the back no defensive organisation

Sarri is the one that first screwed up the defense with his bullshit zonal marking. Pirlo was clueless as well but they were already a disaster.
:agree:

We allowed 43 goals in the league under Sarri, 38 under Pirlo. The only difference between our 83 pt scudetto and our 78 pt 4th place was that Sarri didn’t fuck up as many of the close games against minnows. And didn’t have a 90+ pt team to compete with.

I think we might be saying the same thing. I am arguing that a good coach would not have finished this low 7th and 8th with the same squads. There were many players with personality back then too and they couldn't stop the decline because they couldn't get the best out of the players they had.

I think the same of the present. If allegri can get the best of the current squad we should win serie A. If he we don't then that would be a failure similar to Pirlo's and Sarri's failures.

I downgraded the target to just winning Serie a because Ronaldo left.
But im saying that by the time we were finishing 7th, a lot/most of those legends were gone/injured/finished. By 2010/11 we only had ADP, and the season prior was without Nedved, and those others missing half a season each. A good coach with those would always finish in the top 3, as Ranieri has shown. A good coach without those might foght for CL places. A bad coach with none/some of those was the disaster that we witnessed, two 7th place finishes with under 60pts.

I expect us to win Serie A under normal circumstances and if he can make something working out of this mess he found. Also a push in the CL, depending on matchups. Going out to a Porto or Lyon again would be a failure

Today was not your day.
Why you drag me to the mud :p...

Every time am standing by Allegri and said we need to be patient until end of November ... i think you mistaken me with someone else ....

This win , even with Malmo, is the basic block going forward ....

boy shifting from Sarri’s and Pirlo’s is too hard :lol2:

Beating Malmo away is such an accomplishment. The bar has gone the lowest i guess :(
Thanks for the win. After a terrible start in serie a
We need this win to gain confidence, momentum, memorize the movements, .... it is not a low bar , our team mentality really winded out for two years now ... by December the bar will rise again
